ICAN Housing: Construction, Labor & Trades Project Meeting

Tuesday, October 1, 2024 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join the Stark County Minority Business Association (SCMBA) and the Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) for an informative meeting tailored to minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses and contractors.

This session will focus on upcoming construction projects with ICAN Housing, a nonprofit dedicated to providing housing and supportive services for individuals facing homelessness and mental health or substance use challenges. ICAN Housing, which operates 45 residential properties in Stark County, is gearing up for significant construction opportunities. They are planning to build a 12-unit building in Canton (2024-2025) and a 12 to 16-unit building in Alliance (2025-2026), with a long-term goal of creating 100 new apartment units by 2030.

The agency is committed to partnering with smaller, local companies, including those owned and/or operated by people of color and women. This meeting will provide details on how you can get involved, the types of services and trades needed, and how to become a part of ICAN Housing’s projects. Contact:
